Pre-Shoot Interview with Paddy

Paddy's first Splat! video is out now at www.SplatHQ.com (Click here for the show page). Here is a pre-shoot text based interview we did with Paddy during the audition process, exclusive to the Splat! Blog. We hope you enjoy it!

First here are the questions we put to Paddy:

1) Please tell us about yourself, the basics. Name, (as you want to be known or your real name), occupation, goals and dreams

2) Why do you want to appear on the Splat! Show?

3) Do you remember any messy TV shows from your childhood or adulthood, if so which ones and what memories do you have of them?

4) How do you feel about the possibility of getting gunged in the Gunge Tank?

5) Why do you think people would want to see you get gunged?

6) Are there any reasons why we should not gunge you?

7) Are there any reasons why you feel you should be gunged?

8) As well as the gunge tank and messy games being the focus of the shows, they also feature physical challenges. How physical are you, do you play any sports?

9) The Splat! show mainly feature models, athletes or aspiring actors. What are you?

10) If you could see anyone in the Gunge tank, who would it be and why?

1... Hi im 24 i work as a garden fencer, ive always wanted to model from around 18, i put it of for few years because of so many bogus agencies out there an just diidnt know where to go, Luckyly enough i was spotted whilst working out in th gym by someone who owns there own underwear website and from there ive done it ever since, i also model for another site could deadgoodundies.com an have a video link to youtube.

My goals and dream is to just do as much as i can for as long as i can, would love to model for aftershaves and good brands, but wouldn everyone lol my dream whe i was younger was to just say ive modeled befor so im happy enough so far, but now im older my dreams to still model and be rich:) modelings a big part of my life now and i love it.

2... I want to appear on th splat show as its defo fits in with my personality, when i saw them sort of shows when i was little i used to think i like to do that:) would be a laugh and here i am now, on my way to be getting gunged

3... yeah the fun house was one the one with Pat sharp andim sure they used to do somehing like that on live and kicking with Cat deeley, just used to remember them getting dunked in that big pool of gunge lol

4... How do i feel bout getting gunged???? Mmmmmm lol im up for it least i'll no wat its like if i do, its all fun

5...Why do i think, really dont know why, cos some people are cruel in a nice way

6... No theres no reason id be lying if i said so

7...i'll leave that one up to anyone else

8.. Thats brilliant, im very competitive but not a sore loser:( i'll give all i can, i used to box alot when younger and loved running, id defo say i was physical

9... Im a Model and maybe one day a famous actor lol now im dreaming

10...If i could choose anyone it would be my best mate just so i could wind him up....

Look Who We Shot With Today (and last week)

Last week: We shot with Ally for the final time and was gunged in our famous black and yellow colours to celebrate the end of production at Rugby. The Paddy shoot was green lit after Ally's final shoot.

Today we shot with Paddy. You can still vote in the Ballot if you want to get the Gunging video for a few more hours. More news from this shoot later next year, voters will get the first video from his shoot on Tuesday 15th Nov. (Paddy's shoot marks the final EVER shoot at Rugby!)

End of an Era: Splat! Ceases Production In Rugby

Today we are announcing that we are ceasing production of the Splat! Show at our current filming base in Rugby.

Long time Splat! fans will know that we have shot in the town of Rugby, England for the past 4 years or so and have produced some fantastic material at our Ruby location. Gallons and gallons of Gunge have been poured over some of the best looking male models, sporting sportsmen and darling dancers over the Rugby years but all good things must come to an end.

Although we are moving on from shooting in Rugby, the Splat! show will carry on filming. We have already announced we are scaling back production next year, just shooting a few specials but THERE will be a seventh season of Splat! after 2012 at a new shooting location. While we currently do not have one in place, we hope to do so in a few months.

We are shooting in Rugby for the last time* this coming Monday with Pete the Splat! founder and Ally (yes, he is back and for the very last time, we promise!). We are sure Pete will end up in the gunge somehow after arranging the gungings of over 40 models during the past few years. BUT if there is anything you want us to film, use the comments section below now!

Anticipation Building for Final Shoot of the Year

We are getting very excited here at Splat! HQ because this Sunday we are filming the last Splat! Show shoot of the year!

Ally is returning for some of the wildest and messiest games we have ever shot in a single shoot, we have ordered in double the normal amount of gunge for this shoot and it will all be going over Ally and is sure to get everywhere!

Here is your look at some of the new clothes we have purchased for the shoot. As you can see we have splashed out three new pairs of very tight (we have ordered a size smaller than Ally's actual size) Aussiebums (thanks to our recent sale of our old ones). A lot of the gunge will be going over them and we are sure finding their way inside them too!

We have also purchased two brand new footie shorts and that pair of 11 trunks you see, they will be featuring in a very special game. We know, we know, we promised that Simon's elusive messy emails 5ive would be released the same day as the site launched but bugs and tweaks on the new site kept us too busy to get the release ready but good news! Many of them reply and say they are interested in taking up the offer to sit on the on the Gunge Tank hot seat. But sometimes things fall through and for whatever reason some models cannot make the shoot. One example of this model Brad. We contacted Brad in January and was very enthusiastic about appearing on the show, sadly he has now moved away to Spain with his partner to try something new with his life. We have included his pre-shoot interview below for you to read, who knows what his show would of been like!

1) Please tell us about yourself, the basics. Name

My name is Brenden, Im your average typical guy. I like to face each day as it comes, I guess you could say Im quite laid back, others might call the being lazy.

2) Why do you want to appear on the Splat! Show?

Looks like a great laugh If Im honest, I know other models who have appeared on the show and given it the thumbs up.

3) Do you remember any messy TV shows from your childhood or adulthood, if so which ones and what memories do you have of them?

Get your own back - Loved that show as a kid.

4) How do you feel about the possibility of getting gunged in the Gunge Tank?

If Im honest Im not so keen on the idea, having said that there is a first for everything...

5) Why do you think people would want to see you get gunged?

If Im not mistaken is that not the point of the show? If I was the one in control of the gunge I would abuse the power too so i cant fault anyone.

6) Are there any reasons why we should not gunge you?

Sadly none

7) Are there any reasons why you feel you should be gunged?

Im the type of guy that can laugh it off give me your worst.

8) As well as the gunge tank and messy games being the focus of the shows, they also feature physical challenges. How physical are you, do you play any sports?

Im very physically active,I attend the gym 3 times a week if the fiancÃ©e allows it. I do a lot of swimming and jogging in my spare time, Ill put up a challenge.

9) The Splat! show mainly feature models, athletes or aspiring actors. What are you?

Ever since Robbie added the black and yellow stripping on the tank way back in season one, the colour scheme just seemed to stick. In the image you can see famous model Ben Kirby taking one of many pies to his kisser. This was actually the first ever Splat! Ballot (public gunge/pie vote) that Splat! held and you guys voted overwhelmingly for Ben to get it. We have yet to mix the two MEGA events, a MEGA Gunging with a MEGA Pie-ing. Perhaps we will?

Yes their portfolio might be great and they too might look like the next Adonis but sometimes it's a real shame that their personality does not match their looks. Sadly we can't afford the luxury of auditions either so it's a stab in the dark. Thankfully 95% of the models to date have been great, just take a look at the picture above featuring S2 star Andy Rhodes, he certainly enjoyed his Splat! Show shoot, it's just a shame he has now moved away to New Zealand!

Image notes: As well as producing full numbered seasons, we also produced a number of special seasons. The first special season featured S1 star James Russell and a number of his mates in Agent J. In the Agent J shows he would set up his mates in various games and then Splat! them. Agent J also acted as a co-presenter on S2 and opened the season by getting the first Gunging of the season in the tank.

This blog posts marks ten days until the old SplatHQ.com site closes for a major design change and refit.

The site will be closing for an unspecified period on March 31st so the team can make some much needed changes to the site. If you want to catch any material before the site closes, we suggest you make that purchase now or wait until the site reopens.

When will the site reopen? Well we can't really give a date at the moment because it's taking us longer then we hoped the get the new site online. We have allot of pages that need re-formatting and we want to make sure it's perfect before it re-opens.

You will be able to keep up to date on news about the re-launch on our Facebook and Twitter pages as well as here on the Splat! Blog.

EXTRA CLIPS: Simon's Disappearing

Hey Splat! Fans,

The Simon extra clips that we posted under the Splat! EXTRA section of the site back in December will be removed this coming Monday, Feb 1st!

If you wish to get them for your collection, please grab them before they are taken down. We have had a few people asking why we are taking these clips down. The simple answer is that they don't really fit with the Splat! show theme we will be pushing when the site re-launches later this year.

Allot of the extra clips won't be making the transition to the new site. We will be publishing a list of videos that won't be migrating to the new site shortly.

Some Shows Will Not Return

After Splat! closes this coming March 31st, some shows may not return when the site re-launches later this year with a brand new look and feel.

As the team busily build the new site, all material will be evaluated on their own merits and if they fail to meet certain requirements they will not be on the new site and thus no longer available.

We will be publishing a list of Splat! shows that won't be available on the new site soon.

The Splat! USA material has already been put on the BLACK list and won't be making the transition to the new site.

News reached us today that Simon has broken his leg while climbing the famous Ayers Rock in the bush. Simon's leg is not badly broken, but we thought any fans of his would like to know about his current condition. Casting call: Good looking readers wanted!

Hey Splat! Fans,

Let me fist start off with saying sorry that the readers choice model fell through. I was not totally happy with it as I personally new the model, and the whole idea while good at first, did not sit with me well. So regrettably I had to pull the plug.

No matter, let's move on to other better things.

I want to produce a spectacular season 6 finale show that will also act as a fifth birthday special, well splat is technically older than five years old but it's a important milestone we have to mark. I can't say what the show will feature as it's very early in the planning stabbers but I can say it will be a massive, messy show, easily the longest and messiest we have filmed. It will feature new numerous models, feature new and reader (yes we have not forgotten your ideas from the focus groups) games and will be presented by myself. Yes, I will finally appear in a splat show! We are aiming for a January 2011 release, the same month the first proper splat show (Nick the splat! Star) was shot and released in 2005.
